EMMA CARMICHAEL is a WRITER, PODCASTER and TRAVELLER.

Emma ran her own BOOKSHOP in Waterloo, London SE1 (2014-2019) called TRAVELLING THROUGH... and now hosts a popular podcast by the same name, talking to her guests about LONDON, the WORLD, and LIFE while they walk around parts of London.

In a previous life, Emma worked in the CULTURAL HERITAGE sector as a conservation surveyor specialising in the repair and restoration of historic buildings within the context of landscape, streetscape, and community. She worked in LONDON and in SOUTHEAST EUROPE over an eighteen year span.

Emma's TRAVELS have taken her to ALL CONTINENTS of the world but as we know the world is a large place and there is much to experience in a very short lifetime. One consequence of Emma's travels is the travel memoir DRIVING TITO: Through the Balkan Backroads with a Celebrity. This is her first non-fiction book.
