Tony Sullivan

Tony Sullivan has been a professional cartoonist for over 35 years. His works have been published in newspapers, magazines, and books. He also taught cartooning in the United States at a children’s summer camp.

From a young age, Sullivan was blessed with the ability to make people laugh. He wrote his first jokes when he was nine and used his artistic skills to illustrate them. The laughter of others sparked an amazing, addictive, euphoric feeling inside Sullivan, which made him decide to be a stand-up comedian. Unfortunately, at age twelve, he soon realized he had stage fright while performing a skit. The next logical step was to become a cartoonist. His lucky break came when his dad, who was working at a newspaper as a sub-editor, showed some of Sullivan’s cartoons to the Editor, who soon employed Sullivan as the resident cartoonist on the newspaper at age eighteen. This led to his long and wonderful career as a cartoon artist.

He’s now semi-retired and resides on the east coast of Australia, having migrated from London, England in 2004.
