Barbara Higby

I am a woman with dual citizenship, my feet walk the streets of New Jersey, but my home is Heaven. Three children precede me there, four live on this soil. I am the ecstatic grandmother of eleven amazingly gifted grandchildren. The legacy I want to leave them is hope.

I am passionate about encouraging women through my writing and speaking, drawing on my experience as a biological, adoptive, and foster mother and years of ministry.

My husband of fifty-three years doesn't understand the word "retirement" and remains on staff at a local church. We recently down-sized after (traumatically) moving our disabled son to a nearby group home and are watching for the next steps God has for us.
