Stefan Hjelmslev

Stefan is a literary translator born in Uruguay in 1991. He worked as a sales representative at an electronics store at a shopping mall in Punta del Este, as a customer service representative for Amazon.com, and as an ESL teacher.

His field of expertise pertains to the translation of novels, self-help books, parenthood and teenagers, children's books, essays, (auto)biographies, memoirs, obituaries, journalism, tourism and travel, cookbooks, subtitling and dubbing.

After obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree in Literary Translation from University of Montevideo, he moved to New York City to pursue further studies in the field of Translation & Interpretation at Hunter College, where he discovered his passion for writing. This is his first psychological thriller.
