David Swayne

David Swayne was raised in Southern California and educated at Duke University and Wake Forest University School of Medicine. He loves coaching and playing football with his son. He enjoys looking up fun words with his daughter like hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia (fear of long words). And he loves planning for and taking trips with his wife. He considers himself immeasurably blessed to have a wife of noble character and two amazing children. From a vocational standpoint, David has worked for the past sixteen years as a family medicine physician. He views himself as an advocate, encourager, and counselor in partnering with his patients to live a healthy life. He has also served as an elder at church. David lives with his family in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
