Mary’s journey from stage four cancer to cannabis started with pain from a non-healing wound. Mary is a culinary professional and very much a foodie. When she was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer, she refined her already healthy diet to include regular juicing and eliminate processed foods. Cancer treatments are very hard on the body and Mary developed a painful non-healing wound.

She didn't like her pain management choices. Opioids made her dopey and NSAIDs are tough on the liver. She asked her son about cannabis and found that it helped. “I wanted to figure out how best to use cannabis: I complained to my son. I needed a coach!" She asked her sister Anna.

Anna May Meade is a writer and environmental engineer. For 20 years, she managed radioactive and hazardous wastes and taught chemical safety. Her work took her around the world, as far as the South Pole. She settled down on Cape Cod MA and wrote textbooks. She is a local leader in the cannabis industry.

Anna May used her experience teaching safety to construction workers to write this book. Use lots of pictures, tell stories, define new words, use callouts, use color and charts. Anna May makes things easy to understand.

From the author (Anna May): The world is exploding about cannabis. As a long-time cannabis enthusiast, I know it can help many people. But there is reason to have caution, and there is a lot to know. As an educator and a safety professional, I skimmed the cream of several years of seminars and study and boiled it down so most everyone can understand. Be safe, and enjoy the journey.
