Ashley Gray

Dr. Ashley Gray was born and raised in Virginia and received her veterinary degree from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduation, she completed a one-year rotating small animal internship at a busy general practice with 24-hour emergency care. After her internship, she decided to stay on as a general practitioner and emergency doctor. She is still hard at work at this practice and has recently taken on the role of Internship Director. She lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with her husband, 2 dogs, and 2 cats. In her downtime, you will find her cuddling her cats with Netflix, trying out new restaurants, and traveling.

She has always had a passion for writing, even at a young age. There are many unpublished “Clifford the Big Red Dog” novels to prove it lying around her mother’s home. She is extremely passionate about the veterinary profession, especially as it relates to mentorship and self-care. This is her first novel; her intention is to be part of a support system that helps each graduating class succeed in Veterinary Medicine. Through her firsthand experience, “Becoming a Millennial Veterinarian” is going to bridge the gap for many young doctors navigating the waters as they transition from student to professional.
