Chris LeGrand currently serves as president, DAI Global Health, LLC, a global health development and consulting company.

Chris has more than thirty years of business experience in the public and private sector services industry, twenty-five of which have been in the health sector. He recently served as CEO of Futures Group from 2008 to 2014 and in 2016 was appointed as the president of DAI Global Health, a newly launched subsidiary of DAI.

Chris is passionate about the possibility of science and technology innovation as a great global equalizer, putting the knowledge and tools in the hands of citizens to make their own lives more fulfilling and communities more free and peaceful. He is committed to the study and practice of leadership. He has developed a leadership framework known as The Complete Business Leader and implemented leadership development programs based on the framework in two different organizations.

Chris is known for his authentic, approachable leadership style and for his ability to create transformation at pivotal times in an organization’s history. His leadership style has earned him the trust and respect needed from the boardroom to the junior analyst to drive both the organization’s mission and profitable business success. He is a systems thinker who leads organizations to be scalable and optimized by synthesizing people, finance, business development, operations, and technical management. In every leadership role, he has produced results by connecting vision to strategy to execution.

In 2008, Chris led a management buyout of Futures Group from its parent company, SRA International. Futures Group was a $100 million global health consulting firm providing strategic consulting and project implementation to governments in developing countries to improve the health and well-being of their citizens. Futures had subsidiaries and business operations in over thirty-five countries around the world. Chris successfully reestablished and repositioned Futures in global health development; returned the business to profitability; restructured its financing and substantially paid down its debt; established and organically grew its European business; and successfully engineered the merger of Futures with an Australian company in October 2011.

Previously, Chris was president of Constella Health Sciences, a preeminent provider of integrated health consulting solutions to governments, foundations, and the private sector worldwide. Serving in expanding executive roles, Chris was a key leader in Constella’s success, growing from a $14 million niche consulting business to a $200 million global health player. During his tenure, Chris led a successful turnaround of Constella’s pharmaceutical services business and was actively involved in eight M&A transactions and integrations. He helped complete the highly successful sale of Constella to SRA in August 2007.

Earlier in his career, Chris spent twelve years with BDM International, a highly respected government services company. At BDM, he had expanding roles, including running large-scale programs for various US government health agencies and commercial clients in the life sciences industry.

Chris serves on several outside boards in the for-profit and nonprofit sectors, including currently serving as board chair for IntraHealth International, a leading nonprofit global health services organization. He recently served for four years as board chairman of the Triangle Global Health Consortium and served on the executive board of the Council of International Development Companies. He is also active on the board of an Indian NGO based in rural Andhra Pradesh, India. In the community, Chris is active as treasurer in his church and served for three years as board president of the Choral Society of Durham. He has been the recipient of numerous leadership awards, including Business Leader magazine’s top 100 Business Impact Leaders in the Triangle of North Carolina and top 40-under-40 leaders in the Triangle of North Carolina (many years ago!). He was honored with the Outstanding Service Award by the Drug Information Association in 2007. Chris holds a MS in information management from The George Washington University and a BS in mathematical sciences from Clemson University.
