Kellie Sanchez

Kellie Sanchez has a Masters in Social Emotional Leadership and linked SEL lessons to this inspiring novella. She has found that middle-schoolers relate to the characters in the novella even though it was originally throught to appeal to younger readers.

Before teaching at Rejoice Christian School in Owasso, OK, she taught at Nowata High School in Nowata, Oklahoma where the story takes place. She has several certifications and degrees in English, Education, and Business Administration. She has worked with and around children for the past 20 years. She encourages reading with her students as fundamental to a good education. Writing has always been a passion and she uses this passion to help the next generation with difficult life situations.
