Steve Aldous

Born in Bury, Lancashire in the UK in 1960, Steve Aldous has a lifelong interest in cinema, music and crime fiction. Having spent his working days in the banking industry and his evenings playing in a rock band, it is only in recent years he has turned his hand to writing. His first published book, "The World of Shaft", a history and analysis of Ernest Tidyman’s black private eye, John Shaft, was well received by genre enthusiasts. He followed this with "The Songs of Genesis", covering the studio output of the celebrated rock band, and "The Harry O Viewing Companion" (co-written with Gary Gillies), detailing the 1970s TV detective series.
