Lynne Getz

Lynne Getz is a mom of three living in the outskirts of Philly whose life can be summed up in six words: this is not what I planned. Her first child was born with a rare chromosome disorder, so she became a different kind of mom than she ever expected. She started her blog, Like a Mother, to show other moms that motherhood and martyrdom are not synonymous, that self-care is not selfish, and that having a child with multiple disabilities does not mean you have to sacrifice your goals--you just have to adjust them. In addition to writing and speaking, she runs a multimillion dollar direct sales team, dabbles in public television and podcasting, and tries her best to teach her younger children to be good people.
