Tom Raif was born in Vestal, New York in 1945. He attended Manlius Military Academy for three years and after graduation went to Colgate University where he studied mostly Economics and English. After college he joined IBM as a computer salesman and moved to Utica NY, then to Winston-Salem NC and finally to Greensboro NC. He left IBM after 15 years and became Managing Director of a computer company in Nassau, Bahamas and The Cayman Islands. After retired in 2017, Tom took up writing as a hobby. To date, he has written a series of three historical fiction novels that take place in mid-west Florida beginning in the late 19th century. He has also written three short stories and is currently writing a contemporary novel set in the same locale. Tom has taught three classes on how to publish on Amazon at the local Senior Center and has plans to conduct additional sessions. The classes are open to the public and are free.
