Johnie N. Mozingo

Johnie N. Mozingo is a retired professor of nursing who focused her professional career on the care of women and infants. During her forty-one years with the University of Tennessee, she was the recipient of numerous teaching awards including the prestigious Alumni Outstanding Teaching Award given annually to only four or five individuals across the entire university faculty. After retirement she turned from professional focused writing to writing purely for pleasure. She is the author and illustrator of six children's books and three novels: "Hidden Child," "Crossing the River," and "The Courage Gene." Her love of history and background in nursing are evidenced in all her novels.
