JAMES WATSON has always been a reader even from his own admission, comics which came with the Sunday newspapers - Dan Dare out of the Eagle, Braddock the Mosquito pilot out of the Rover and of course all the Biggles stories. Then he progressed to reading the News of the World when his parents were not looking. It was the ability to read at a very young age which propelled his school progress where he had lost so much time through illness. He never ventured any further into the literature world though and as things turned out his world became Mechanical Engineering and draughting until retirement, when the prospect of writing a book started to appeal to him. All he had were his experiences in his own life, his thoughts and opinions and this became his focus with results we see so far to date.
Like everyone else he has opinions on certain subjects and on two of those subjects he has been able to put his feelings into book form - "Religious Thoughts: A Historical Perspective" and "Middle East Thoughts: Is There A Case For Israel"? As he tossed around the idea of writing another book he realised he only wanted to jot down some of his earlier memories so that his Grandkids had some knowledge of that time but it would then have become an autobiography - not what he had in mind. So he thought "Why not a novel"? But as it has turned out, it really is his life and his story only with name changes because he found he could not alter real life details just to make it more interesting and exciting. The result is "A Not Quite A Geordie Story".
