Scarlet Ingstad

Scarlet Ingstad is a historical fiction author and historian in Northern Virginia. She is currently working on a novel about Judas Iscariot, retelling the story of the Gospels through the eyes of a man who has been vilified for centuries. Her goal is to generate empathy, while also helping reveal how we all fall short and have been "Judas" in our own lives.

Scarlet's currently available works include an American Revolution duology, as well as a children's book series elevating the stories of lesser-known figures of the American Revolution. She also has a novella about James Armistead Lafayette, America's first double-agent. Scarlet's thesis about gender and piracy is also available, alongside a novel about the life of the pirate Anne Bonny. She also has a novella about the Persian King Xerxes and a YA fantasy novel currently available for purchase.
