Fred Romanuk is my real name and is used for writing 'non-fiction' books. Roman Romanov is my pen name and is used for writing fiction. The name reflects my Russian heritage and connection to the Romanov Royal Family. My grandfather said he was number 24. He moved to Canada in 1928. The rest of our family were murdered by the Russian army on orders from Stalin in 1937.
I am a Psychologist and Corporate Consultant. My fiction books are based on the 'real-life' experiences of my therapy clients and the many businesses that trusted me and took my counsel seriously.
The real inspiration for my fiction books came from my family. There were tragedies, crimes, and even murders. That is life, and life is not fair. Many of the stories represent close family members who endured those tragedies. But, the stories always contain the redemptive features of overcoming the unfair hardships and pain of living. My stories are also filled with love, friendship, and personal triumph.
I hope you read and share in my family history.
I have been married for 52 years to an amazing woman and have 2 remarkable daughters. For this, I am eternally grateful.
