Charles Heathcote

Charles Heathcote has always lived in Macclesfield and very rarely leaves. A Creative Writing graduate, and secretary to the Macclesfield Creative Writing Group, he is a writer of radio plays, poetry and prose.

He has released five books. The Mrs Doris Copeland series are northern comedies featuring atomic housewife Mrs Doris Copeland inspired by the classic British comedy, for fans of Roy Clarke, Alan Bennett and Victoria Wood. In 2020, he released An Heir to Murder, the first in a cosy crime series.
