I've been gardening for forty years and changed careers in my thirties to landscape design after studying RHS Level 2 and Level 3 with commendations at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. I've since been commissioned to design over 100 gardens, exploring modern spaces with planting inspired by nature, including food forests and perennial edible gardens for community non-profits and councils. In my spare time I study wild habitats and grow a range of organic produce on our small farm in West Yorkshire. I've written for The Guardian, The Telegraph, Gardeners' World, Gardens Illustrated, RHS The Garden and others.
