Timothy B. Dodd was born and raised in Mink Shoals, WV. He completed his B.A. in comparative religion at Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT, and his MFA in creative writing at the University of Texas El Paso.
He is the author of short story collections Small Town Mastodons (Cowboy Jamboree Press, 2025), Fissures and Other Stories (Bottom Dog Press, 2019), Men in Midnight Bloom (Cowboy Jamboree Press, 2022), and Mortality Birds, a joint collection with author Steve Lambert (Southernmost Books, 2022), as well as poetry collections Orbits 52 (Broadstone Books, 2025), Galaxy Drip (Luchador Press, 2025), Modern Ancient (The High Window Press, 2022) and Vital Decay (Cajun Mutt Press, 2023).
His fiction has appeared in Anthology of Appalachian Writing, Broad River Review, Yemassee, and elsewhere; his poetry in Roanoke Review, Crannog, Crab Creek Review, and various other literary magazines.
Tim is also a visual artist. His expressionistic oil paintings can be sampled on both Instagram and Crevado.
