Michelle Moraczewski

MICHELLE Moraczewski, born in Chicago Illinois, is an award-winning architect turned author. As an architect, she is passionate about resilient living. As an author, she has recently published two works of fiction, The Ranch Chronicles: Headwaters, and The Forgotten Tribe. She also created an Art /Poetry book, A Creation Story, fully illustrated with her visionary paintings.

Her forthcoming book, THE LIVING CITY: A Beautiful Solution, outlines a plan for resilient living in community. In it, her designs go beyond the eco-village or even co-housing. To include the Core Home that heats and cools itself, and a compilation of off the grid energy options.

Her first novel, Headwaters, is inspired by a true story. Imagination and magical realism are woven in to create a compelling tale, suitable for teens and adults.

Born in Chicago, she practiced architecture in Houston, New York, Philadelphia, and Austin. She now lives full time on a farm in Tennessee with three dark horses, a herd of wild deer and the wonderful painter Jim Poag. Her two married children live with their families nearby in Tennessee.
