José Héctor Buelna was born in Sinaloa, Mexico. Since he was fifteen years old, he has lived in Tijuana, a city that his parents chose to live in 1988.
He studied singing and music at the Asociación Nacional de Actores (ANDA) of Baja California.
As a singer, he composed many songs since his adolescence, which was his first approach to writing, and later he was a writer for three blogs and was a columnist for Pizarra Magazine (of sports).
He has his own YouTube channel called: José Héctor Buelna Escritor, where he publishes videos about his texts, whether they are children's stories, poems, reflections and songs.
His first book was published in 2017 and is called: Entre el río y las estrellas (Between the river and the stars). Over time, several books also of a children's nature followed, such as:
Mary Libélulas y las Cartas de Amistad (Mary Dragonflies and the Letters of Friendship) from 2018.
Corazón de Golondrina (Swallow Heart) from 2023.
This book has a plot that revives the elementary school environment of the eighties and highlights the fusion of stories with experiences, conflicts and adventures, it also promotes human values in children.
The NEW BOOK: La Magia de las Navidades Pasadas (The Magic of Christmas Past). This book is totally Christmas-themed and is made up of 6 stories and a fable.
In addition, José Héctor Buelna has written three other books:
Galería de extrañas realidades (Gallery of strange realities), which are stories of incredible situations and inexplicable mysteries that he himself experienced.
Ojos de Cabra (Goat's Eyes), a suspense and adventure novel. And...
El Cofre de los besos (The Chest of kisses) of poems and poetic stories.
He has participated in literary events such as: Tijuana and Mexicali Book Fair. He has made literary presentations at cultural events in Sinaloa, as well as at CECUT, El Trompo-Museo Interactivo, at CEART and IMAC in Tijuana and Rosarito.
