One day Heather Dean Brewer stopped by her colleague Miranda Gardner’s desk and suggested they create a women reading with cats coloring book. Miranda agreed because she thought Heather was joking. Later she realized Heather was serious, but by then she wanted to go along for the ride.

Heather is an award-winning children’s book author and art director. Miranda works in author relations and for several years was an executive editor.

Over happy hour sessions creating the book, they learned how much fun they have working together and how rewarding it is to put energy into work that is for the purpose of joy.
