Yu Sing Ong is a Professor in Leadership at HELP University, Malaysia. He has over 30 years of senior management experience in banking, research, consulting and education. He started his career in Wall Street, New York, in the 1980s. Following his return to Singapore, he was instrumental in establishing and managing the Investment Management unit of a pension fund. He was also the Research Director of a major local bank and the Regional Vice President of Investment Banking of an international bank.
As an entrepreneur, Prof Yu had established three companies in consultancy, project management and education. He had provided advisory services to over five hundred private and public companies in Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia.
His desire to share his knowledge and experiences led him to join the education industry in 2004. He had managed three universities in Vietnam and Malaysia and an education institution in Singapore. Prof Yu graduated with a Doctorate in Business and a Doctorate in Arts Management. He is also a Certified Financial Planner in Malaysia.
