Ken Jorgenson

Ken Jorgenson is a Canadian author of fiction and poetry whose work is driven by a fascination with art, science, and the overlooked corners of history. His debut novel, The Blackhorse Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Smalltown Ontario Pub, co-authored with Bill Perrie and Alissa Heidman, received acclaim for its warmth, wit, and keen sense of place. At Home in the Maelstrom, a collection of poetic writings that reflect the disorder and turbulence of an unsettled life, brought his poetic voice to the public.

Ken recently released his second novel, The Remarkable Tale of Henry Hachaliah Johnson, a sweeping blend of historical drama, mythic wonder, and suspense. This richly layered story weaves together adventure, legend, and the haunting pull of the unknown, as it explores themes of legacy, redemption, and the deep human longing to belong, remember, and transform.

A former feature writer for The Pub Magazine, international rugby player, and high school coach, Ken now turns his competitive spirit toward the canvas and the page; learning to paint, reading, and crafting characters who illuminate the quiet complexities of the human experience. He lives with his wife in the northwest of France and is currently at work completing a collection of short stories.
