Nick Esposito is an educator who believes that purpose should be at the center of our schools of tomorrow. He began his career teaching math at the Baltimore School for the Arts. His service learning work with his students has garnered a num- ber of prestigious awards. In 2013, he moved back home to the city of Philadelphia to teach at Ancillae Assumpta Academy. While there, he developed his philosophy of education, “2ndRock.” His students in- spired his TEDx talk, “We Need to Rethink the Way That We Teach Our Students About Poverty,” which highlights the need for vulnerability, humility and empathy in the search for purpose in the classroom. He is a proud son, brother, husband, and Philadelphia sports fan. He is also the proud teacher of over 1,000 students who are all impacting the world in their own unique and quirky ways.
