Dawn Van Beck

Hello there and welcome! I'm an award-winning author, speaker, and writer with a passion to help us hear God's whispers above the roar of the world.

My love of stories began as a little girl pretending to be a librarian, leading story time to my imaginary patrons. I've served as a newsletter contributor and editor for a professional organization and published my first magazine article in "West Coast Woman", for which I shared my experience of living with a Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis.

Professionally, I hold a degree in Human Resources with a concentration in Gerontology, which has afforded me a long, rewarding career advocating for vulnerable adults. I am a Christian Speaker Bootcamp graduate, and hold memberships with the Advanced Writers and Speakers Association, The Write Practice, and the Christian Indie Publishing Association. My nonfiction book, "Deliver Me" received third place in the 2025 Golden Scroll Awards for Christian Living Book of the Year, and was named a 2026 International Christian Book Award winner. I am a contributor to "Arise Daily" online devotions, and am published in a collaborative online devotional book, "Held In The Wilderness."

I've traveled the country with my husband, with whom I make my home in sunny Florida. I enjoy rummaging through antique shops and possess a quirky affinity for all things office supplies. I love coffee, dark chocolate, and I confess to an impulsive overuse of italics!
