Mike Masnick

Mike Masnick was not, until now, a speculative fiction writer. Instead, he mostly writes about the intersection of technology, innovation, law, policy, economics, business, and civil liberties at the website Techdirt or for the Copia Institute think tank, both of which he founded and runs. In his spare time he thinks up crazy ideas to make difficult policy issues easier to understand -- like translating them into speculative fiction or making games about them. He also once coined the phrase "The Streisand Effect" and if he tried to make that go away, it would only become more well known.
