Alekhya Bhat

Alekhya Bhat is a seventeen-year-old girl from Bangalore, India. She wrote her first book, The Adventures of Torus the Dog, at the age of four and fell in love with the art of spinning stories. Since then, she has written five novels, including one on the online platform, Wattpad. She has also written numerous short stories, blogs, poems, and song lyrics. Warped is her first published novel.

In addition to writing, Alekhya actively participates in Model United Nations, enjoys theatre and music, and spends ungodly amounts of time attempting to perfect her Instagram feed. She enjoys having conversations on a diverse range of topics from controversial political views to environmental issues, equality, feminism, TV shows and movie plots.

She takes a firm stand against bullying and advocates body positivity. She recently started an organization called ‘Bully-Mia’ that provides online resources to parents and teenagers on the identification and prevention of bullying and eating disorders. She is friendly, approachable, and truly believes that even one voice can make a difference in the world. She hopes that one day, her writing will, too.
