My love for writing, which began as a very young child, was stimulated by the many books my parents bought me and my siblings. The stories in these books fascinated me. They took me on many, great adventures into unexplored countries, diverse cultures, worlds of fantasy and into the private lives of both simple and complex people. My teachers, both in primary and secondary schools and university, saw my God-given gift and encouraged me to write professionally. While pursuing my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, one of my professors was so impressed with my writing, that she urged me to add a second major in Media Communications. I am so glad that I took her advice. It opened the doors to great opportunities to write and teach. As a University Tutor at Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn, New York, I taught English and Speech Communications. With my B.A. in Psychology/Media Communications, I got a job in the media division of the Prime Minister’s Office in Trinidad and Tobago. I had diverse roles, that of news and documentary writer, television producer and director, television broadcaster, researcher, and training the broadcasters. I directed and produced television news and documentaries on all sectors and industries in Trinidad and Tobago. My performance captured the attention of the Prime Minister, and on his personal recommendation, I won a Media scholarship to Holland. Additionally, I was hired by the Caribbean Association of National Telecommunications Organizations (CANTO) as a Media Instructor. I had the privilege of designing and teaching their pioneer training course-Film/TV Writing/News & Documentary.

Summarily, I have written professionally and successfully for, newspapers, television and radio. I am also a playwright. I have also written training books, curricular, and of course, No One Would Love Her, my personal story of overcoming child sexual and physical abuse. But I felt that something was missing. As a humanitarian and ordained minister, my passion and mission is to positively impact the lives of impoverished, abused and marginalized women, men and children globally; to help them to become physically, mentally and emotionally healed and whole; to provide them with training and opportunities to attain sustainable incomes; to train leaders and preach the gospel. So I made the choice to devote my life to missions.

I returned to school and did a Master’s Degree in International Relations and Conflict Resolution, with a specialization in Sexual Exploitation of Children and Criminal Profiling. I founded a non-profit Christian humanitarian organization. In this capacity, I and my teams, travel across the globe - fulfilling my passion and mission. And of course, I will continue to write and inspire people through my books.
