Rip Converse

Rip Converse is an award winning author, licensed sea captain, and skilled craftsman who has made over 20 sailing trips between New England, Bermuda and the Caribbean. He has also run larger ships in the oil fields, charter boats in the FL Keys and a ferry in Boston Harbor. He has lived aboard a classic wooden sloop in the Caribbean and cruised in both the Mediterranean and South Pacific. Maelstrom was a semi-finalist in the CIBA CLUE book awards for best new thriller, suspense, mystery novel for 2019. His newest book Callie Awakens received a 1st Place, Best in Category CIBA CLUE Award this year for best new thriller/suspense novel of 2021.He resides in Sarasota, FL with his wife Louise and their two black labs.
