Ann Vanderstraeten (1968, Tongeren-Belgium) worked as an engineer for 13 years in a telecommunication company in Belgium. In 2005 she moved with her husband and children for 2 years to Ireland where she started writing. She fell in love with Ballycotton in Ireland and its crumbling cliffs – and by extension with the Irish (yes, pretty much all of them).
Back in Belgium she was a teacher for several years.
Her first book Lowie, a children’s book, was published in Belgium by Clavis.
