Dr Gemma Goldenberg is a child psychologist and education expert, with 20 years of experience working in nursery and school settings. She currently works at ISEY (Institute for the Science of Early Years and Youth) at the University of East London. Her role involves bridging the gap between neuroscience research and everyday teaching and parenting practice. Gemma has an MSc in psychology and a PhD, for which she researched the effect of both indoor and outdoor learning environments on urban children's noise, stress, attention and self regulation. Her research was the first of its kind worldwide and shed new insights on how taking curriculum learning outdoors (even in urban spaces) can support children who struggle with their learning and behaviour indoors. Gemma lives in Essex, England with her husband, 3 sons and a dog called Daphne.
