Heide B. Beasley

HEIDE B. BEASLEY enjoys being an ELA teacher and has taught for over 17 years. She will do whatever it takes for her students to enjoy the reading and writing experience. Heide grew up in Paris, Kentucky and graduated from Bourbon County High School. She went on to graduate from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey with a Bachelor of Arts degree and North Carolina Central University with a Master’s in Education. She has been writing stories all her life and started committing them to paper in 1992. Of all the many books she has written, this one “The Mysteries of Johnny P. Youngblood” sparked much interest from her students, family, and friends. Each book is written to be an extension of her classroom. Each volume will include life issues that children face, developing friendships, independent activities, comprehensive questions, and Spanish; among other languages. She writes to encourage readers to get actively involved in Science and Social Studies and to learn to recognize different reading structures. Her students have been purchasing the book and encouraging her to continue to write. That statement along lets her know that she is on the “write” track. She will never give up and will always encourage others to follow their dreams.
