Muna Shehadi

Muna Shehadi (see below for pronunciation guide) was born in Princeton, New Jersey, USA. After college, she earned a masters in vocal performance as a classical soprano. Ultimately she discovered that she'd much rather be left alone with her daydreams than crowded on a stage, so she moved to the US Midwest and became a writer.

Her first few dozen books were published by Harlequin and Avon/HarperCollins under the pseudonym Isabel Sharpe. She's thrilled now to be writing under her real name for Headline Publishing. Find her website: www.MunaShehadi.com or follow her here: https://www.facebook.com/munashehadi2, here: https://twitter.com/MunaShehadi, or here: https://www.instagram.com/munashehadi

When she's not writing, she's listening to opera, reading, cooking or working out (so she can eat more). Also high on her rather random list: travel, knitting, kayaking, hiking and jigsaw puzzles. You can write to her at Muna@munashehadi.com unless you have something mean or unpleasant to say, in which case use f209[0u9th@;lkj;lgj.rug.

* How to pronounce Muna: The “u” is like the vowel sound in the words “put” or “book." It's not Moon-a or Myoon-a. Shehadi is much easier. Sheh-HA-dee. Muna means “one who is longed for.” Shehadi means “begged from God.” Pretty nice!
