About the Author: James Christopher
James Christopher is a storyteller, songwriter, and award-winning creator with over 100 published books—from senior humor to NASA space photo collections to incredible children’s stories. After a life-altering injury left him permanently disabled, James turned adversity into art, using creativity as a form of healing and connection.
The idea for his Seasons of Laughter series was born the day he read a so-called "#1 bestselling book for seniors"—and was stunned at how poorly it was written. No wit, no inner monologue, just 100 pages of soulless, AI-generated facts. Instead of complaining, he wrote something better for the people who matter most: his own family.
Writing Adventures
Whether it’s a heartfelt song, a clever short story, or a coloring book featuring a tap-dancing cat in space (true story), James believes every page should spark joy. His catalog includes witty senior stories, real NASA photo books, and children’s adventures like Starry-Eyed Stanley: The Little Star That Dared to Dream—which earned a 5-star Readers' Choice Award.
Artistic Process
With the help of clipart, AI, Canva, and sheer stubbornness, James designs all his own books—creating visual worlds that support the stories he tells. It’s not always perfect, but it’s always personal. Sometimes it takes hours just to get a single illustration right.
🎶 Melodies and Magic
James also writes and produces original music, with many of his books paired to songs that bring the characters and moods to life—because storytelling, in any form, should feel something.
The Big Picture
Whether you’re reading with grandkids, escaping into the stars, or laughing your way through the holidays, James invites you to explore, imagine, and have fun on this creative journey.
