Jeff Morrison

Jeff Morrison is a historian and photographer who has been taking pictures since his parents gave him his first camera when he was nine years old. He has a bachelor's degree in history with a minor in art from Eastern Michigan University and over thirty years of experience as a graphic artist. In 2015, Jeff opted to start a new life, one that actually uses his history degree, to find, research, document, and photograph architectural sculpture throughout Michigan and the Great Lakes Region. Jeff lives in Oxford, Michigan with his lovely wife Susie.

Jeff's first book, Guardians of Detroit: Architectural Sculpture in the Motor City, was honored with multiple awards, including a State History Award from the Historical Society of Michigan, A Midwest Book Award from the Midwest Independent Publishers Association, and a listing as a Michigan Notable Book from the Library of Michigan.

Jeff has recently completed an exciting new book, Guardians of Michigan: Architectural Sculpture of the Pleasant Peninsulas, set for a September 13, 2022 release. You can find out more about that book at GuardiansOfMichigan.com.
