Ben Lamb

Dr Ben Lamb is the English Studies and Creative Writing Course Leader at Teesside University.

Ben's mission is to improve social integration policy through his research into representations of marginalised communities within the media, wider culture, and the arts. As an academic, filmmaker, and author specialising in television studies his works examines modes of realism within different production systems, genre theory, ideology, gender politics, criminology, and representations of social class.

In short, he is interested in how popular television drama and documentary can help change the world.

Previously, Ben has lectured in media theory at the University of East Anglia and University of South Wales.
