Erich Ebel

Erich R. Ebel was born in Spokane, Washington, and has had stories to tell ever since. He spent ten years as a TV and radio journalist, followed by another 14 in government communications and marketing. When Erich decided to pursue his passion - the history, heritage and culture of Washington, the greatest state in the lower 48 - he created a communications and marketing consulting company that caters to small museums and historical societies, among other clients: www.WashingtonOurHome.com.

Part of his passion includes writing books that are somehow connected to Washington state. His first published book, Winter at Truckee Lake, is a gritty work of historical fiction meant for young adult readers that chronicles the ill-fated Donner-Reed party of 19th-century emigrants and their quest for Manifest Destiny. Erich's book allows readers to follow 13 alternate story lines that result from making a series of brilliant life-and-death choices along the way. Will the same fate befall the pioneers, or will your choices lead them to salvation? The choices are yours...
