Jason Brown is the author of Margin Matters: How to Live on a Simple Budget & Crush Debt Forever. The book chronicles the journey of him and his wife’s efforts to pay off $75,000 of debt in three years. Additionally, the book shares Jason’s thoughts on how to create more margin in your life no matter how much money you make. In 2021, he released IT IS POSSIBLE!: How I Earned Two Debt-Free Degrees...and How You Can, Too. The book serves as the answer to the student loan debt crisis and provides strategies, tips, and hope to individuals who desire a higher education without debt.
During the day Jason works as a full-time copywriter/copyeditor for HNTB, a transportation consulting firm. He previously served as the copywriter for Kennesaw State University’s College of Professional Education.
Prior to his roles at HNTB and KSU, Brown served in various capacities in sports media, marketing, and public relations where he worked for organizations such as ESPN, Fox Sports, Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Hawks, and the former-Atlanta Thrashers. Recently, he earned a Master of Arts in Professional Writing from KSU after earning a Bachelor of Science in Communication – Journalism/Media Studies from the same school.
Originally from Miami, Florida, Brown now makes his home in Roswell, Georgia, where he lives with his wife, Amethyst, their 5-year-old son, Maddux, and 1-year-old son, Kameron. He also collaborated with Hall of Fame Softball Coach Scott Whitlock on his memoir I Wasn’t Expecting All This.
