Born in 1982 in Riga, Latvia, Olegs Andrejevs graduated from Loyola University Chicago in 2013, with specialization in New Testament and Early Christianity. He is an author of a recent book (Apocalypticism in the Synoptic Sayings Source, 2019) and a number of articles. His research interests include the New Testament gospels and their sources, late second temple Jewish literature, apostolic and church fathers, as well as historical Jesus. He is a frequent Society of Biblical Literature participant. Since 2010, Prof Andrejevs has taught a variety of courses in humanities. He maintains an academic blog at olegsandrejevs.com
