Swept Away is Darrell’s seventh published book, and his fourth under his company, Stagehead Publishing. His first book, If You Look Closely, You’ll See, was published by Byrnt Books in 1999. When We Worked Hard: Tickle Cove, Newfoundland was published by Flanker Press in 2007. Thursday’s Storm: The August Gale of 1927 was published by Flanker Press in 2013 and is also available as an e-book. An Irish Tale of Leaving was published in 2018. Darrell’s first children’s book, The Adventures of Crunch and Munch: Volume 1, was published in 2019. When We Worked Hard and Thursday’s Storm were acquired by the Cultural Connections Resource Acquisitions’ Program (RAP) of the Newfoundland and Labrador school system respectively in 2008 and 2014. Thursday’s Storm was also attained by the University of Maine and the University of Toronto. Both are available online through Amazon in both hard copy and e-book formats. The Garden Gate was acquired by the RAP and will be available in NL schools in 2022. Swept Away will also be available as an e-book shortly.

Darrell is currently completing The Adventures of Crunch and Munch: Volume 2.

The author, also a singer/songwriter with well over two-thousand original songs to his credit, is also currently writing and recording for a new (his third) full-length album. His song, “Red Houlihan,” is what Darrell calls “an attempt to summarize my novel, An Irish Tale of Leaving.” An interview and live recording of the song may be seen/heard by accessing the following link:
