The book tells the inside story of how Woodstock found its home in Bethel, New York. It is the only publication which reviews every song performed by every musician at Woodstock, August 15-18, 1969. Plecki analyzes the political, sociological, and musicological effect that the festival has had on American society. He has interviewed Woodstock Ventures principals, Executive Staff members, and hundreds of attendees, all of whom found the event life-changing.
