Growing up on the plains of Eastern Colorado, Kale Gray reveled in the cowboy persona, which culminated in being part of a college rodeo team for several years and riding the "rough string" for a ranch in northern New Mexico. College, however served a higher purpose of opening doors to environmental work in Colorado, Alaska, and in the Yukon and Northwest Territories of Canada. But spinning a tale has its own attraction, resulting in "The Luck of the Draw," which follows three college rodeo team members as they travel to other colleges to compete at various rodeos during a spring season. Kale resides in Colorado with his wife and family.
