James Holmes is a journalist who has been writing for television for twenty-five years. He's covered the dark side of human nature for so long he needed a fictional outlet to come to terms with where we're going as a species.

He wakes at 1:30 every morning to write and in this caffeinated haze, his literary monsters are born.

He and his wife home-school their three children.
