Educator, historian, photographer, and writer, Rick has studied at the University of Wyoming where he earned his BA. He also has been awarded a Master of Education from Capella University and a Doctor of Education from Grand Canyon University. His writings focus on historical, political, and social commentary. Rick has always been involved in visual arts including photography and film.

He has taught film studies, video editing, digital graphics, and multi-media courses. As an undergraduate student, Rick wrote and produced a short documentary film called Silent Atrocity about the Japanese invasion of Nanking, China in 1937. He has also written several essays, screenplays, and short stories.

Rick grew up in Salida, Colorado and currently lives in Gillette, Wyoming. He is a member of Playwrights’ Center and exploring new ventures.
