Michelle McCombs

Michelle McCombs is a proud HBCU graduate of Clark Atlanta University (CAU). She wrote this book to fill a niche in the African American literary market. A native of the Bronx, New York, Michelle grew up self-motivated, and she kept believing and dreaming beyond her current circumstances. She is a Sr. Human Resources Professional and spent her entire career focused on helping other people. She’s been committed to cultivating talent by motivating and developing the next group of leaders, reinforcing servant leadership and simply doing her part to give back in underrepresented communities.

Michelle is a loving wife and mother and her daughter, Angel, loves to read and write too. Her positive experiences throughout her undergraduate HBCU life, her own personal joy of reading and her daughter’s love of children’s literature, inspired her to write this first book in the series of Angel’s Adventures. Michelle’s goal is for this book to be a small piece of your family tradition and expose our youth to HBCUs at an early age. As a result of Michelle’s commitment to educate children, instill self-love and confidence she created iMatter Creations, LLC because black education matters. She is committed to displaying diversity in children's literature. Furthermore, black representation is vital to our communities.
