Nathan Strong

From a small town in northern Vermont, Nathan Strong went to college in East Texas to study Bible and Missions. Learning to preach in the city jail ministry, he went into the pastorate, first in Arkansas and then back in Vermont. After 35 years of ministry, 42 years of marriage, raising three children, writing two novels and two spiritual encouragement books, he now brings us his first children's book.

His Marine son was killed in Iraq in January, 2005, beginning a year of grief. Approaching Christmas, he found that he had no comfort and joy to offer his church. Sitting down to write a story about a little shepherd who went to the manger, then grew up to meet Jesus as an adult, he found renewed hope to share with his congregation. Now, fourteen years later, he shares that sweet story with the world.
