I am addicted. Addicted to travel that is. My wife and i have spent much of the last few years travelling the world and coordinating our adventures and experiences into my latest book The Travel Addiction. Our places of writing are bars, coffee outlets and hotel rooms as we continually seek out destinations that provide historical insights, cultural experiences, quirky characters and memorable moments.

My first book Beaches, Bush Roads and Bull Ants was a one year journey circumnavigating Australia. a bit like a Captain Cook on wheels, living with Aboriginals, camping on deserted beaches and immersing ourselves in a virtually uncommercialised Australia.

Our current book covers 25 countries on 4 continents embarking on quite diversified journeys, many on Roads less Travelled.

I was born in Southport, UK, moved to Southport on the Gold Coast in 1972 and amongst other involvements started my own Publishing House, publishing A4 colour lifestyle magazines on the 80's and early 90s. Interviewing people like Michael Parkinson and other celebrities visiting the Gold Coast certainly honed my writing skills

Gaining a diploma in travel writing and photography from the Australian College of Journalism proved to be advantageous and certainly assisted my career
