I'm a Florida native. My family has been active in Florida more a very long time. I created Swampy's Florida to do my best to help educate folks about our incredible Florida history, heritage and culture.

Swampy, the Swamp Ape, came about as a cartoonist friend encouraged me to create a comic strip. I did that and expanded to creating a series of story & coloring books featuring the Swampy set of characters & specific locations to learn more and visit.

My career as a professional illustrator and cartoonist began in 1979. In that time I've illustrated many books, advertising and other collateral material. I've also been nationally syndicated as a cartoonist and produced artwork on a regularly scheduled daily, weekly and monthly schedule.
