Sybil Swanson

Sybil Swanson loves to read. She also loves to write little blurbs about what is happening in her life. One day, she met Marj Helmer. Marj asked Sybil if she was a writer. She answered no, she wasn’t a writer of stories but was a reader. Marj said that was good enough. Sybil joined the Writers’ Studio…the rest is history. She really looks forward to the weekly Writers’ Studio meetings. So much to talk about; so much to learn about writing and what it takes to create a well-written piece. The Writers’ Studio constitutes a wonderful, funny, and totally serious bunch of writers.

Sybil doesn’t limit her creative juices to writing. She also is an abstract artist and paints almost every day. Whenever she can, she loves to teach acrylic fluid art at her paint parties. This she finds to be a very satisfying endeavor, especially when working with the elderly and handicapped as they learn to again “play in the paint” as they did when they were six.
